Vejle
Vejle offers a wealth of cultural highlights, and one of the best ways
to experience them is on foot. This route takes you past striking
architecture, through the cosy pedestrian zone, to art museums
and on small detours to the city’s historic landmarks.

Stage
The tour begins at the harbour front, where Olafur
Eliasson’s iconic Fjordenhus welcomes you as
Vejle’s modern cathedral. Continue on to Bølgen, an
award-winning architectural icon admired around the
world. The 昀椀rst stage ends with a walk across the
昀氀oating bridge to the Kayak Island with its
harbour basin close to the marina.

From the harbour, the route continues
into the lively shopping street. In
the granite-paved pedestrian zone,
winding side streets, charming passages and plenty of shopping opportunities await you, ranging from trendy
design boutiques and wine shops to
budget-friendly second-hand 昀椀nds. If
you feel like getting creative yourself,
stop by Fra Hånden, Creative Space,
Danmark & Norden or Smyk & Hyg.
